CLEMATISSY AND OTHER GARDEN STUFF

One of my evergreen clematis is blooming nicely this year...took it a couple of years to decide it was time to flower.

Since it's still before the "last frost date," and we're at almost 2,000' in elevation, sometimes we have to cover tender stuff up. This is a  hanging basket of Morganianum..."burro's tale." I used a couple of thin foam packing sheets and clothespins to protect it. It didn't actually get down to freezing but close...35 degrees!

More lattice on the west ugly cyclone fence for more privacy and to grow stuff on. This installation was tricky as there is only about 10" of space between the greenhouse and the fence. My  undergardener did a fair amount of swearing on this one! It's attached to the metal fence with wire.
Above the cold frame is also new lattice (from the apricot picking bucket over to the left)...just installed but I had plenty of ivy overgrowth to tie up on it! I'm still sneezing...ivy has a lot of pollen this time of year!
